You must register online on the official Chinese test website. The registration deadline is usually about 30 days before the exam date. Fees vary by country and test center.

The HSK certificate itself is valid indefinitely. However, for academic purposes such as applying to a Chinese university, the score report is generally considered valid for two years from the test date.

If you do not show up on test day without canceling beforehand, you will receive no refund and your registration will be marked as "absent." You cannot reschedule for free — you must register and pay again for the next test session.
